The metamorphosis from Superfreak to Freakreation has been a wild journey. Through disaster and flooding the community in attendance have been with us all the way on this roller coaster ride of festival creation. Instilled with the original intent, the Free Creation team have landed safely for the third installment of super sonic manipulation on the Aussie electronic music scene.
Moving to the 19,20,21,22nd December 2008, we invite the community of groovers & beat seekers to join us in celebration of the Free Creation Summer Solstice Festival. As an independent, underground, electronic & live music event with the aim of catering to a wide demographic and to bring people from all tribes together for a musical experience like no other.
The Free Creation Summer Solstice will host an array of talented, diverse & forward artists, live acts, djs, vjs, performers, installation artists, crew, family, friends, travellers and participants over 4 days in a new lush site held 3 hours south of Byron Bay.
The Summer Solstice has been a pinnacle cross section in time for the Byron shire and its outter regions. Previous years are still cherished in memories as a global gathering that once thrived and captured the attention of travellers and the world wide movement as a location to celebrate this date in true form. As the Solstice kicks off the summer season with the sun in it's highest position, cultures across the globe celebrate the Solstice by gathering in ceremony & dance as they acknowledge the coming of seasonal change and a shift in the fullness of light.
The Free Creation team is honoured to create an event to celebrate this date and harness the solstice energy in this region once again.
So dare to join us for another exploration into creation, manifestation, expressionism, communication, awareness, as we facilitate the dancefloor & playground for those who seek to find their individual groove.
